The Sandhills Handweavers Guild holds many special events throughout the year. By working together to achieve specific goals, we have become a rock-solid community:
We have held workshops which, over the years, have continued to grow in popularity. Another is planned for this year, so check back with us from time to time for additional details.
The Guild Challenge and Rock Day celebration is a not-to-be-missed event that had it beginnings in 2006. It truly jump starts our creative year.
Christmas dinners have been a long-standing tradition. Not only do we have a feast, we round out the evening with a yarn and pattern exchange. No telling who’s going to get what!
Our most recent undertaking has been mounting an exhibition at Sandhills Community College (SCC). It has given us an opportunity to introduce ourselves and our work to the general public.
Perhaps our longest running event is our community support. Guild members donate their time demonstrating their crafts and teaching out in the community.
